Construction Post 4

On the 8th March 2016, we have finished filming our opening sequence to a Thriller film, and are editing the final parts, such as adding titles etc. We are improving on our first draft by adding music, changing the font for the titles and adding transitions when needed. We also edited the lighting in the detective scene, just to focus on the brother's face better and changed the place the main title comes up 'Departed'. Our film is called DEPARTED, which we chose because of the idea about the train leaving, which separates the brother and sister.

First draft feedback
WWWs: 

• Excellent lighting during detective scene.
• Creative camera work throughout.
• Strong sound. e.g when the train arrives.
• Effective colouring of shots.
• On track for an A.

EBIs:

• All titles needed, e.g main title.
• How does the sequence end? Not clear.
• Shot at 1:51 is out of focus.
• Font is ok, but could be improved.
• Music needed towards the end to build up tension.

We will respond to the EBIs by adding appropriate titles with the correct fonts to suit our genre. We will edit the ending of our piece to make it easier to understand, for  example adding another graphic match. Also we have a different shot that is in focus that we can use for 1:51, so we will use that instead and put in music where ended to create suspense and tension.
